Spanish Marine Litter Association (AEBAM) was born in 2015, on the one hand, with the idea of establishing an efficient associative framework that contributes to preventing and reducing the quantity and impact of waste that reaches the marine environment, and on the other hand, to support and enhance the actions of partner organizations, as well as promoting, reviewing, uniting and sharing strategies to optimize the results of the joint or individual work of each member.
AEBAM consists of four commissions: Communication and Awareness, Advocacy, Legal Affairs and Research and Demonstration Projects.
AEBAM maintains close contact with similar national associations in other countries such as Portugal, Brazil and Germany, and is open to the incorporation as partners of natural or legal persons who share common objectives and positions on the problem of marine litter.
