The International Forum MARLICE
Marine litter represents one of challenges currently facing by society. Thus, it has been established as a strategic lines in the new horizons of the European and international policies.
The complexity of the problem and its global nature require the involvement of all stakeholders: research, administration, industry and productive sector in general, civil society such as: consumers, non-governmental entities, etc.
The Spanish Marine Litter Association (AEBAM) aims to put together experiences, best practices and efforts of its members finding technical and management solutions of the marine litter issue at national, European and international level. The AEBAM’s members are organizations, researchers and institutions based in Spain related with environment protection with a common goal: marine litter reduction.
The International Forum MARLICE is a cross-sectoral and multi-stakeholders’ event launched to find out solutions about marine litter by the collaboration of public authorities, research institutes, private sector and civil society.

The First Edition of Marlice Islands will take place on the 7th – 8th of March 2023 in Puerto de la Cruz (Canary Islands-Spain)
